The Penn State DuBois women’s basketball team dropped a tough 88-82 overtime decision to Penn State Brandywine

The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team dropped a tough 88-82 overtime decision to Penn State Brandywine on Friday night despite PSUD having five players in double figures. 

Brandywine pulled out to a 27-16 first quarter lead and still maintained a nine-point lead after three quarters, 64-55.  PSUD rallied back in the fourth quarter, outscoring Brandywine 16-7 and sent it into overtime on a bucket by Melody Young with under two minutes remaining in regulation. 

Kristy Hanes nailed a three in overtime to give DuBois the lead but Brandywine responded with a 6-0 run to retake the lead and the game.

PSUD was lead by five players in double figures, Kristen Williams (Eisenhower) with 17, Grace Earle (Cowanesque Valley) 15, Kristy Hanes (Elk County) 12, Latascia Shadle (Galeton) and Kaelyn Gruver (Redbank Valley) with 10 points each.  Melody Young (Otto Eldred) lead the team with 14 rebounds.
