PSU DuBois Falls To Penn State Fayette

The PSU DuBois Lady Lions dropped a 76-58 decision to conference rival Penn State Fayette on Friday.  Fayette came out hot in the first ten minutes and went on to lead 24-11 at the end of the first quarter.  PSUD, playing stronger second half defense, outscoring Fayette in the second half but were unable to overcome their slow start.

"The last several games we have played very well for 30 minutes in each game.  Unfortunately, we need to play well for 40 minutes each game." stated PSUD coach Pat Lewis.  "The young ladies are working hard and are looking forward to each and every game.  They can see that we are improving each time we take the court."

PSUD was lead by Ashley Brown (Otto Eldred) with 20 points and 5 rebounds while Latascia Shadle (Galeton) and Melody Young (Otto Eldred) both also hit double figures with 11 and 10 points respectively.  Kaelyn Gruver hauled in 11 rebounds.

PSUD returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Penn State Mont Alto with a 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
