Lady Lions Lose Decision to Niagara CCC

The Penn State DuBois Women's basketball team dropped their second game of a New York road trip to a powerful Niagara County Community College (8-1) by the score of 68-49.  The game was never out of reach, as the PSUD squad fought hard and shot well from the foul line (21-26) to keep them within striking distance.

"I was disappointed with picking up two losses this weekend but I was actually pleased with our effort in both games.  We played well defensively and handled their defensive pressure, so that was a good sign.  The only thing that was disappointing was for the third game in a row, besides our foul shooting, we shot poorly," stated PSUD coach Pat Lewis.  "Half the team is comprised of freshmen and they are getting acclimated to the college level.  I think that we have made some positive strides and look forward to conference games."

Kristen Williams (Eisenhower HS) was the lone player to reach double figures for the Lady Lions while Melody Young (Otto Eldred HS) hit for 8 points and hauled in 7 rebounds.

PSUD returns to action for a 6:00 conference game on December 1, 2015 when they travel to play defending PSUAC and USCAA champion Penn State Beaver.
