On Thursday, the Lady Lions dropped another close game against Westmoreland County Community College. Westmoreland went on a 13-0 run in the middle of the second half that made the score 39-26 and later proved to be the difference in the game. Despite playing inspired basketball during the second half, the DuBois Lady Lions were unable to over come the thirteen-point deficit falling by the final score of 51-38.
Two players posted double-doubles. Kristy Hanes (Elk County) had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Ashley Brown netted 11 points and 10 rebounds. Grace Earle (Cowanesque Valley) also hauled in a team high 11 rebounds in the loss.
The PSUD squad return to action with a two game road trip against Penn State Wilkes Barre on Saturday and Penn State Scranton on Sunday. Both games will be played at 1:00 p.m.
