DuBois Lady Lions Pick Up Second Win

The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team improved to (2-4) with an 83-48 win over Butler County Community College on Monday night.  The Lady Lions built a half time lead of nine points and then used an aggressive man-to-man defense to force Butler into over twenty turnovers to pull away in the second half.

The Lady Lions were lead by four players that registered double-doubles.  Grace Earle (Cowanesque Valley) 11 points, 13 rebounds; Ashley Brown (Otto Eldred) 11 points, 10 rebounds; Kristy Hanes (Elk County) 12 points, 10 rebounds; Juli Vokes (Brockway) 10 points, 10 rebounds.  They were joined in double figures by Mary Pillot (Bald Eagle Area) who hit six threes while scoring 22 points.

Koren McCullough (Purchase Line) had a career high 8 points, while Linsey Mizic (Pottsgrove) had 7 points and 4 assists.  Ashley Reitz led the team with a career high 7 assists.
