Penn State DuBois Lady Lions drop last two confernce games

Penn State DuBois Lady Lions set for playoffs

The Penn State Lady Lion basketball team wrapped up their conference play with two tough losses to division foes PS Fayette on Tuesday and PS Beaver on Wednesday both games were on the road.

Tuesday night's game was a high scoring affair with Fayette claiming the victory 92-88.  PS DuBois Coach Pat Lewis said "anytime you score 88 points in a game you expect to get the "W".  Both teams hustled and ran the court, but we couldn't get a stop down the stretch".    The Lady Lions followed up that performance with another tough game against top ranked PS Beaver.  The final score of 82-47 wasn't indicative of the effort by the PS DuBois team.   Coach Lewis said " we played hard again tonight, but Beaver just had enough overall balance in tonight's game to keep the early lead they established".

With an 8-6 PSUAC record and overall 14-11 PS DuBois will head into the playoffs on the road to take on PS Brandywine on Saturday, Feb. 19th.  Brandywine enters the playoffs as the number 2 seed behind Beaver.
