Penn State Dubois is excited to announce that Brooke Harvey, Northwest High School, has decided to continue her academic and athletic softball career at Penn State DuBois beginning in the fall of 2018. Second in her class, Brooke is a member of the Wildlife Leadership Committee and Youth in Philanthropy Committee.

Brooke is a three-year starter and a three-time All-Conference selection. As a junior, Brooke had a .531 batting average that included 34 hits, 14 extra base hits of which 6 were home runs. She has totaled 26 stolen bases in her sophomore and junior seasons on only 27 attempts.

Head Softball Coach Jason Kern is looking forward to having Brooke on campus. "Brooke is an intelligent young lady and will succeed in the classroom and on the field. Brooke joins a 2018 recruiting class that the coaching staff and I feel will immediately help us compete for not only a conference championship, but national titles as well." Her natural positions are Outfield and Pitcher and Kern likes her athletic ability. "Brooke will provide the pitching depth that every college team is searching for and her athletic ability allows her to play anywhere defensively. Offensively, she brings power and speed that every team will struggle to handle."
