Men's Basketball Gets A Big Win At Home

The DuBois men's basketball team hosted their first PSUAC conference game in the new PAW Center this evening against visiting PSU Shenango.  Shenango got off to a quick tempo start that gave them an early lead, but DuBois remained calm through the pressure, and thanks to a few 3-pointers from Will Helton they were able to tie it going into the half, 28-28.

Now it was DuBois time to turn up the heat as they stormed into the 2nd half with a few quick scores of their own and never looked back as they would outscore Shenango by 10 in the half to win the game, 75-65.  Helton would lead DuBois in scoring with 19 as he would go 3-6 from beyond the arc and 6-10 from the free throw line.

Beau Verdill would have a huge night with a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds including a offensive put back dunk.  DuBois held Shenango to just 14% shooting from the 3-point line and outrebounded them 48-36.
