Penn State DuBois men's basketball team defeated PSU Hazleton 81-69 Friday night. PSUD would get off to a slow start falling behind as many as 14 in the first half. Again bad shooting from PSUD 33% in the first half would contribute to being down 40-31 at the half. Senior Tristan Pierce (Lancaster,OH) would score 18 points in the second half after being held scoreless in the first half. PSUD would outscore Hazleton 50-29 in the second half on their way to another home win.
PSUD outrebounded the oppenant 35-28 and dished out 20 assists to only 12 for Hazleton. Another impressive stat line for PSUD was a perfect 15-15 from the foul line. The Foradora Insurance Player Of The Game Tristan Pierce lead PSUD with 18 points, DJ Hopkins (Huntingtown,MD) added 13 points and 10 rebounds, Jordan Knappenberger had 13 points, Jake Perrin (Brockway,PA) added 10, Cole Morris (Rimersburg,PA) contributed 9 points and Dylan Huey (Punxsutanwey.PA) came back after missing 3 games with an ankle injury to help with 8 points.
