Pierce Reaches 1,000 point Milestone against PSU Wilkes-Barre

Dubois played host to the first of the two-game home stand on Friday night. Dubois started the game sinking a shot beyond the arc. Three minutes into the game, Tristan Pierce (Lancaster, OH) made a layup thus solidifying his continuous 1,000 point college career scoring tenure. Two minutes later Dubois found themselves down 16-14. Halfway through the first half Dubois was down 7 after a layup by Roselli. Wilkes Barre continued their tear as they pushed the lead to 12 with five minutes remaining in the half. Dubois fought back to cut it to 4 before going into halftime.

Dubois then started the second half by bringing the game to its second of three ties for the game. Wilkes Barre was then able to push back out on top with fifteen minutes remaining. With ten minutes left in the game PSUD was down 4 after a layup by Pierce. A 3-point basket from Dane Aucker (Dubois) brought Dubois to within 1 with just less than five minutes remaining. One minute later, Dubois was able to take the lead and hold onto it; that is until Chris Cantine of Wilkes Barre hit –what turned out to be- the game winning three pointer from the top of the key. Notable players for Dubois were: Pierce 27, Roselli 16 & 8, and Aucker 8.
