PSUD Men Drop Close One at Home 92-90

The PSUD Men's Basketball team opened up their home stint playing the visitors of Westmoreland County Community College. The Nittany Lions opened up the game with a 3-pointer from Jesse Reynolds (Ridgway, PA). However, Reynolds found himself in foul trouble picking up two early ones placing him on the sideline. For much of the first ten minutes the competition was back and forth scoring. At the ten-minute mark the game was tied at 23 all. In a collaborative effort (consisting of Pierce, Roselli, & Perrin), the Dubois men put together a 29-17 run to end the half. PSUD went into halftime with a 12-point lead, 52-40.

WCCC was not going away as they fought back to cut into Dubois' lead. With just over three minutes played in the second half, WCCC found themselves only down four. As the half progressed, WCCC continued to charge. Five minutes into the second half, Dubois found themselves substituting a complete 5-man lineup change. This move provided Dubois with the spark they desperately needed. They built on the lead stretching it to 9 with ten minutes remaining in the game. With just under 8 minutes to go, WCCC took the lead 73-72. Two minutes to play, Dubois had built the lead up to 8. WCC charged back coming within two with under a minute to go. In the final minute, Dubois lost control of the lead with a missed box out, and a turnover from an inbound play. Dubois found themselves down two with 14 seconds remaining with a last second shot that wouldn't fall for them. Notable players for Dubois were Roselli 36, Pierce 18, Reynolds 9, Pearce 7, Boyd 6, Aucker 6.

PSUD Men will travel to Penn College on Wednesday, November 16th to play the Wildcats. Tip is set for 8:00.
