PSUD Men Run To Victory

Penn State DuBois men's basketball team continued there good start to the 2015-2016 season with a 101-77 non-conference win Tuesday night at Butler County Community College. PSUD improved to 6-2 overall and 1-1 in the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference. The first half got off to slow start as the PSUD full court pressure did not seem to bother the fresh Butler County CC team. After a quick timeout at the 10:00 mark, PSUD would make a run to push the lead to double digits. Sam Roselli (Ridgway,Pa) would score 14 of his game high 32 points in the first 20:00 minutes.  PSUD went into the locker room with a comfortable 48-31 halftime lead.

The second half proved to be much of the same as the first, PSUD continued its relentless full court pressure and fast paced offense to push the lead to as many as 30. Tristan Pierce (Lancaster,Oh) was scoreless in the first half but came alive in the second half scoring 22 points. Louie Conde (Ewing,Nj) followed that trend with scoring 13 of his 19 points in the second 20:00 minutes.

"When our guys play with energy and passion, we play well. Tonight the entire team was ready to play for 40 minutes" said head coach Dylan Howard.

PSUD will look to improve to 2-1 in conference play Friday December 11 at home against last years United Small Collegiate Athletic Association Runner up PSU Fayette. The tip is schedule for 8 pm following the women's game.
