PSUD fall on theroad to Bethany College

Men Drop Tough Road Contest

On Saturday night, the Penn State DuBois men's basketball team traveled south to Bethany College in West Virginia. From the tip, PSUD struggled to handle the size and athleticism of the seasoned Bethany roster. By the 15:25 mark in the first, PSUD found itself behind 14-6 as Bethany was hitting from inside and outside. Bethany college never looked back as the final score was 100-67. Bethany out rebounded PSUD 52-37, as well as shooting 52% from the field compared to 32% for PSUD. Penn State DuBois was led by junior center Sam Roselli's (Ridgway,Pa) 7-12 from the field, 2-2 from the foul line tallying 16 points. Jordan Knapperberger (Lehighton,Pa) provided 12 points (6-6 ft) off of the bench.

"Tonight I stressed we need to do all of the little things to be successful, from the tip we didn't." stated Coach Dylan Howard. Howard also added "Bethany made us work hard for everything tonight, that's something I am trying to get our defense to do night in and night out. Tonight was a lesson for us going forward in conference play starting in a few weeks."

PSUD (2-1) looks to rebound Tuesday night at home against non-conference opponent Butler County Community College. The tip-off is scheduled for 8pm.
