Penn State DuBois Men's Basketball Announces Incoming Class

Penn State DuBois men's basketball head coach Dylan Howard has announced the 2015 recruiting class. PSUD will welcome 9 new players to preseason this fall. The new faces will join 6 returners from last season's squad.

Cole Kriner (DuBois, Pa./Dubois)

Kriner was a three-year letter winner at DuBois High where he was the D9 League MVP. He was also named third team all-district.

"Kriner comes to us from a good high school program and good family" said Howard.  "I have seen him mature over the last few years, he works really hard on both ends of the court. His biggest strength for us will be his versatility to play the 1 through 4."

Jordan Knappenberger (Lehighton, Pa/Lehighton)

Knappenberger was a four-year letter winner at Lehighton High. Sophomore year he was named honorable mention all-area, junior year 2nd team all area, and senior year first team all area and honorable mention All Lehigh Valley.

"Jordan was a standout in a competitive basketball area, his experience playing solid competition should help him transition well to the college level" stated Howard.

Alex Graf (Knox, Pa/Keystone)

Alex was a three year letter winner at Keystone for head coach Greg Heath. He was selected as a district 9 third team all-star. He was also named to the 2nd team KSAC league.

"Alex is coming from a well-respected coach in our area who has had success spread over many years. I am not sure if I have seen many kids outwork him on the court" said Howard. "Alex also rebounds very well for his size."

Nick Spitaliere (Long Island, NY/Division Ave High)

Nick received two letters from Division Ave High school. He was a captain that was honored with All Nassau County honorable mention and first team all-conference.

"Nick is a very skilled player. He has worked very hard in his teenage years to develop good habits and fundamentals. He seems to play without effort as well as with smarts. Nick is a coach's player" said Howard.

 Dakota Shadle (Galeton, Pa./Galeton)

Shadle was a 4 year letter-winner at Galeton Area High School. At Galeton, he was named first team North Tier League as a senior.

"Dakota will help our team defense immediately. His motor seams to always be in high gear, last season we lacked a lock down guy. I am looking for him to be that guy this year" Said Howard.

Jake Johnson (Sheffield, Pa./Sheffield)

Jake was a 3 year letter-winner at Sheffield High School

"Jake gives us much needed athleticism and speed at the 2 & 3 position" stated Howard. "I also look for him to become a guy I can rely on to lock down on defense and bring energy."

Adam Szklanka (Dushore, Pa./Sullivan County)

Szklanka received four varsity letters from Sullivan County high where he was 2nd team all-region, 1st team daily review, 2nd team sun gazette, & Sun Gazette Male Athlete of the year.

"Adam has the versatility to do a little bit of everything on both ends of the court. He has the physicality to play inside and the skill to step away from the rim." Stated Howard
