PSUD drops two games on weekend road trip.

PSUD Drops 2 on Weekend Conference Road Trip                           

The Penn State DuBois Mens basketball team ended a 5 game 7 day stretch with back to back losses at PSU Wilkes-Barre and PSU Scranton. Both teams are in the top 5 conference play. PSUD started the stretch with 3 straight wins. On Saturday, PSUD came out strong taking the lead for the first 8 minutes. PSU Wilkes-Barre changed defenses which through off the timing of the PSUD offense. Wilkes-Barre went on a run and never looked back. At the half PSUD was down 42-32. The second half proved to be the same story as PSUD struggled to attack the defense efficiently. PSU Wilkes-Barre came away on top 82-65. Tristan Pierce (Lancaster,OH/Lancaster) led PSUD with 19 points.

On Sunday PSU Scranton proved to be the fresher team, pulling away in overtime. PSUD battled the entire way but ran out of steam losing 94-91. PSU Scranton, who did not play the day before used a 41-18 rebound margin to seal the victory. Both teams traded scoring runs. PSUD had the ball at the end of regulation but a long 3 attempt came up short. The overtime is where the fatigue showed for PSUD as PSU Scranton went up as many as 8 points. Sam Roselli (Ridgway,PA/Ridgway) led PSUD with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Louie Conde (Ewing,NJ/Ewing) also chipped in with 17 points and 7 rebounds from the point position.
