Dubois Rolls on with Win at Westmoreland County CC

After losing to WCCC in the first semester, Dubois knew they had to play at a different level in order to surpass the Wolfpack, PSUD came into the game prepared. PSUD took an early lead that they didn't give back winning by a score of 74-67. PSUD started the game shooting the ball well and applying pressure in the back court. WCCC struggled to break it for baskets. The lions used the depth of their bench to sustain the pressure throughout the game. Both teams traded baskets during most of the first half. The lions were able to go on a late run to push the lead to double digits going into halftime. WCCC came out ready and with the necessary adjustments. Turnovers proved to play a factor in assisting the lions lead to reach 16 with less than 10 minutes to play. The Wolfpack were not going away however, forcing the lions to careless turnovers. The lead diminished to less than 10 with 4 minutes to play. WCCC hit some much needed 3 point shots down the stretch.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to come away with the victory. The lions used the clock to their advantage to secure the lead thus obtaining the victory.

When asked about the victory, coach Howard responded: "tonight we learned how to win on the road and close out a game. These lessons will prove crucial as we head on the road this weekend against two very good conference opponents."

Sam Roselli (Ridgway, PA/Ridgway) had another stellar offensive performance leading the way with 29 points. Kyle Mills(Bushkill,PA/E Stroudsburg North) & Louie Conde(Ewing,NJ/Ewing) contributed with 12 and 11 points respectively.

PSUD returns to action this weekend with back to back road conference games.
