PSU DuBois Men's Basketball Awards Dinner

Coach Dave Bennett and his staff held its annual basketball awards dinner on Thursday evening at Luigi's Ristorante. The team was together to share a meal and recognize player accomplishments on and off the court. Two seniors Heyward "Woody" Mitchell and John Hau were recognized for their dedication and commitment to the basketball program as well as their steady progress in the classroom.
Both Hau and Mitchell were recognized by the PSUAC for their play this season, Hau was named conference Honorable Mention and Mitchell received 2nd team honors. Woody Mitchell was also presented a certificate from the USCAA for being named to the 2nd team All-American selection.
Awards were presented for PSUAC Academic All-Conference recognition of players with 3.0 or higher gpa's, this year's honorees were John Hau, Daishawn Howell, Kyle Mills. The coaches selected the team MVP – Woody Mitchell and coaches Award for work ethic and leadership to John Hau.
After missing the PSUAC playoffs in 2013 the men's basketball teams looks to rebound and challenge for the conference title and chance to get back to the USCAA National Tournament. Several key players will be returning and the coaches will depend upon new players to compete and contribute to the team goals in 2013-14.
