The Penn State DuBois men's team dropped the season fianale at PS York on Saturday 72-57 and missed making the PSUAC playoffs with a 8-9 conference record and 11-13 overall.  It's a big disappointment coming off the 2012 campaign which saw DuBois make a run through the PSUAC tournament to capture the championship at Mont Alto last February and compete in the USCAA National Tournament in March.

The loss end the basketball careers of Heyward "Woody" Mitchell and John Hau who have played 4 seasons for Coach Dave Bennett's Nittany Lions.  Mitchell became the 7th player in PSU DuBois history to score 1,000+ points in his career earlier in the month.

York just had to much firepower as the took a lead into the half 45-32 lead by Logan Steckel and Josh Jameson with 21points and 15 points respectively on the afternoon.  DuBois countered with 22 points from seniors Woody Mitchell and 10 from John Hau.   The shooting percentage from DuBois wasn't that much different than York.  DuBois was only 1-6 from the free throw line whereas York was 9-14 from the charity stripe.

Coach Bennett and his staff plan on rebounding from this season and will make their mark on the PSUAC & USCAA in 2013-14.
