Nov. 26, 2012

Penn State DuBois suffered a tough loss Monday night at home after leading the entire game, only to see a desperation 3 pointer bank in at the buzzer from Westmoreland County's Tommy Szatkowski.

Penn State held a five to seven point lead most of the game only to have Westmoreland CCC close the gap in the final 2 minutes and with a 1 point lead Darrian Brown, PSU DuBois freshmen sank 1 of 2 free throws with 14 seconds left to set up the dramatic shot at the buzzer by Szatkowski.

DuBois was led by Woody Mitchell with 18 points, 8 rebounds. Also, scoring in double figures were Darrian Brown (13), Isaiah Jordan (11), John Hau (10).  Westmoreland County CC was led by the duo of Julian Thompson and Andy Carter with 18 points apiece.

PSU DuBois has a 2-2 record and starts into conference play this weekend when they travel to PSU Schuylkill and Brandywine this weekend.  The next home game will be Dec. 5th when the Nittany Lions host PSUAC West rival Beaver at 8pm.
