Team kicks off season with Alumni game; Nov. 10th at 3pm

The 2012-13 Penn State DuBois Men's basketball team is hosting an Alumni game on Saturday, Nov. 10th at 3pm.  The 2012-13 version of PSU DuBois basketball has 12 team members with six returning players from the 2012 PSUAC Championships team lead by seniors Woody Mitchell and John Hau.

Prior to the start of the Alumni game Chancellor Dr. Anita McDonald will present the coaching staff and 2011-12 players with PSUAC Championship rings.  The alumni game will be a great opportunity to congratulate the 2012 team for their championship season while having 17 alumni on hand to share in the tradition of Penn State DuBois basketball.

This is the 2nd PSUAC championship title won by the campus since the athletic programs were reinstated.  The 2006-07 basketball team captured the PSUAC title and finished 2nd in the USCAA National Tournament in 2007.  Several members of the 2007 championship team will be playing in the Alumni game including: Dylan Howard, Kyle Dynda, Kyle Vogt, Jonny Songer, Pat Brown, Gabe Rosenberg, Marcus Genevro, Kevin Genevro, and Neil Hanes.  Other alumni slated to play include; Josh Salter, Jimmy Higgins, Chris Dickison, Jovan Brown, Derek Burdick, Kyle Mahoney, Mark Shannon, and Kevin White.

Athletic Coordinator, Ken Nellis said " I can't think of a better way to recognize the accomplishment of the 2012 team with the alumni on hand who created the tradition and pride that we have on campus for Penn State DuBois basketball.   This will be a fun day and great way for fans to see a lot of the players they enjoyed watching over the years.  I anticipate the gym to be full and great basketball skills on display".
