PSU DuBois wins playoff game over PS Fayette

The Penn State DuBois Men secured a place in the PSUAC Final Four with their 3rd victory over PSU Fayette this season 94-61.  The game was the 3rd contest with Fayette in the last three weeks, as PSU Fayette is a West Division opponent in the conference.  The latest victory was the most decisive game for Dubois as they pushed the pace and went into half-time up 40-23.  Hot shooting from Woody Mitchell 21 points (5 for 7) from 3 point range was the leading scorer, followed closely by Chris Dickison with 19 pts., and Jovan Brown with 18 points.

Jovan Brown reached a career milestone becoming the 6th PSU DuBois player to score 1,000 points; Jovan was taken out of the game with applause and appreciation from the fans and his teammates.  Brown was unaware of his point total entering the game, Coach Dave Bennett notified Jovan that he need two points to hit the mark.  After connecting on a floater in the lane a big smile came across Jovan's face.  A time-out was called shortly after and Jovan was recognized for his accomplishment.

PSU DuBois will play on Friday night at 8pm against PSU Brandywine in the PSUAC semi-final hosted at Mont Alto, with the winner advancing to play in Saturday's championship game at 3pm.
