Penn State DuBois Falls to Beaver 84-58

Tuesday night in the "White Out" game PSU DuBois came up against their rivals from Penn State Beaver. Going into the game DuBois was ranked 3rd in the National USCAA rankings while Beaver was ranked 9th.  After coming out with a victory at Beaver earlier in the year DuBois looked to strengthen their record in both the PSUAC and USCAA; however that would not be the case in this game. DuBois just didn't have an answer for Beaver on this particular night.

DuBois struggled against the unconventional press of Beaver and defensively allowed them to shoot a high percentage from the three point line. However at half managed to stay in the game only down ten with the score being 39-29. In the second half Beaver continued the hot shooting from behind the arc finishing the game 15-28. Even when they missed a shot the ball seemed to bounce their way. Long shots lead to long rebounds and Beaver capitalized.  Chris Dickison and Jovan Brown finished with solid game.  Brown led the way with 20 points while Dickison added another double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, his third in a row.

Although Penn State DuBois didn't have their "A" game tonight they still battled until the final buzzer. DuBois will take this game as a learning experience and use it to fuel them for the remainder of the season. They may have lost this battle but have not lost the war. DuBois still has many conference games to look forward to as well as the playoffs soon approaching. They host Fayette on Thursday and you can expect them to bounce back.
