Penn State DuBois Men move to 5-1 in PSUAC play

The Penn State DuBois men's basketball team won a lopsided game on Sunday by a score of 88-42 over Penn State Lehigh Valley.  With the win, PSUD pushed their record to 7-3 (Overall) and 5-1 PSUAC.  The game was back and forth in the open minutes as PSUD took a 15-14 lead.  In the final 10 minutes of the first half, PSUD went on a 32-7 run to take a 47-21 halftime lead.  The Nittany Lions controlled the second half to take home the victory.

 Jovan Brown (Sayre, Philadelphia) lead all scorers with 19 points.  Chris Dickison (Stroudsburg, Stroudsburg)  and Woody Mitchell (East Stroudsburg North, Bushkill) chipped in with 16 points each. Will Welles (Simon Gratz, Philadelphia) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for the victors.

 With the win on Sunday afternoon, Coach Dave Bennett reached  career win #100 at Penn State DuBois.  "Dave has created a winning atmosphere for the basketball program, he sets high expectations for his players on and off the court.  We are fortunate to have a coach as dedicated as Dave Bennett on our campus" stated Athletic Coordinator, Ken Nellis.

The Nittany Lions return to action on Thursday, December 29th when they travel to NCAA Division II Clarion for a 7:30 tipoff.
