DuBois men win 2nd home game of season

PS DuBois men win at home over Brandywine by 18

DuBois, PA,   Winning on their home court for the 2nd time in five games proved to be more difficult than the final 82-64 score indicated.  Saturday afternoon's contest was a strange display of basketball leaving both head coaches scratching their heads.  It was a "W" but head coach Dave Bennett couldn't have felt very comfortable in stretches of the game.

DuBois started out scoring at will and controlled the tempo of the game, with a lead as much as 19 points with six minutes left in the first half.  But to Brandywine's credit they fought back to go into half time down by 5.  The second half was a display of scoring by Rasheed Wilkins (26pts.) as he brought Brandywine back and captured a brief 1 point lead.  Once again DuBois seized control and dominated the final 10 minutes on both ends of the court to put the final at 82-64.  Coach Bennett said it was the most uncomfortable 18 point win he has ever had.   The win brings Dubois to (2-1) in PSUAC play and (4-3) overall.

Balanced scoring from DuBois led by Jovan Brown (20), Woody Mitchell (15), Shakeal Brown (15), Will Welles (10), John Hau (7), Kia Ahmad (7), Derek Burdick (6).
