Penn State DuBois Men take road win at New Kensington

The Penn State DuBois men's basketball team won a crucial conference game at Penn State New Kensington this weekend. PSUD has now won 4 of their last 5 games. PSUD lead throughout the first half and took a 40-28 lead into halftime. The Nittany Lions played solid throughout the second half to bring home an 82-68 victory. PSUD dominated the glass with a 40-21 rebounding margin.

Josh Salter (Elk County Catholic, St. Marys) and Jovan Brown (Sayre, Philadelphia) lead the victors with 24 points each. Will Welles (Simon Gratz, Philadelphia) chipped in with his third straight double-double by posting 16 points and 14 rebounds. Derek Burdick (Coudersport) played a solid floor game with 7 points and 8 assists.

The Nittany Lions return to action on Tuesday at the travel to conference rival Penn State Beaver. The next home game is Thursday, February 3rd against Fayette, women at 6pm - men at 8.
