Penn State DuBois Golf team wins first PSUAC match of the year

The Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) held its first golf match of the season on Sept. 7th at the Blue Course on the University Park campus.  The event featured 9 teams for the PSUAC conference; finishing in first place was PSU DuBois with a team score of 318.

Each team was permitted to enter 6 golfers with the team score being added using the top 4 players for each team.  Leading the way for DuBois were: Alex Acree -76, Jordan Tosh - 78,          

 Brandon Orsich – 80, Colin Moore – 84, and Espy Reinard 89.

PSU DuBois coaches Vic Gearhart and Ron Cavaline were pleased with the team's performance in the opening match and like the attitude of the players.  All the players have the ability to shoot consistently in the 70's and low 80's which is critical for team success.

Medalist for the Match was Brain Zinman  (73) from Lehigh Valley.

 

PSU DuBois will host a golf match on September 13th at DuBois Country Club  with a 11am shotgun start.
