The PSUAC Golf season got underway on Tuesday at DuBois Country Club under beautiful skies and temperatures that reached 90 degrees. Seven conference teams attended the golf match, with PSU Wilkes-Barre claiming the team honors with a 4 person score of 325. Medalist honors for the match went to Jeff Carter of Wilkes-Barre with a score of 76. Three other players scored in the 70's followed by teammate Jonathon Wilson (79), Austin Green – Mont Alto (79), Ty Morzilla – Hazleton (79).
The team results were very competitive on this course for opening competition for all teams;
2nd place was Hazleton (334), 3rd Lehigh Valley (338), 4th DuBois (349), 5th Mont Alto (363), 6th New Kensington (369). Schuylkill did not record a team score as one of their golfers withdrew from competition with an injury.
All the PSUAC teams will return to action on Wednesday September 16th at the Schuylkill campus at 11am in a shotgun start.
