Tonight Penn State DuBois hosted the Highlanders of Houghton College in a single 9-inning game at Showers Field.  DuBois comes off of a conference sweep of New Kensington this past weekend, and was looking to knock off the Highlanders as well.

HittingToner Corl (Central Mountain) led the way for the Nittany Lions tonight from the plate.  Corl had 4 hits in 5 at bats, and drove in 4 runs on 2 doubles.  Thayne Morgan (Clearfield) backed that up with a 3 hit performance of his own to help DuBois score 9 runs on 16 hits in the game.

PitchingAustin Amacher (Ridgway) led the Nittany Lions from the mound tonight.  Amacher went 2 innings, giving up only 1 hit.  Logan Johnson (Penns Valley) came in for 2 innings of relief, striking out 3 Highlanders, and allowing 0 hits.  Morgan Bell (Somerset) came in for a 2 inning appearance as well, giving up only 1 hit.  Bryce Hanley (Central Mountain), Justin Orlowski (Grove City), and Thomas Plummer (Clarion) rounded out the final 3 innings, combining for 0 hits to end the night.
