Penn State DuBois Wins PSUAC Baseball Championship

 

Penn State DuBois is your 2018 PSUAC Conference Champions!!!

 

PSD defeats PSU Brandywine this afternoon by a score of 10-2.

The offense was powered by four home runs from four different players; Clayton Butler, Joey DiPietro, Brandon Gettig, and Talon Falls.

LJ Johnson pitched 4 and 2/3rds innings to earn the win.

The win clinched a spot in the 2018 USCAA Small College World Series. 

Penn State DuBois received the 6th seed and will play #3 seed Wright State -Lake

at 6:30pm at Showers Field. 

Several PSD players were selected:

 

PSUAC First Team Selections:

Caleb Bennett, Dan Bowman, Joey DiPietro, and Talon Falls.

 

Pitcher of the Year:

Caleb Bennett. Caleb posted a 6-0 record in conference, and he was the second consecutive PSD pitcher to win this award.

The John Fritz Sportsmanship Award:

 

Frank Stefko.

 

Coach of the Year:

For the third year in a row, PSD Head Coach Tom Calliari was selected as the conference coach of the year.
