After one full inning DuBois leads Olney College 1-0. Garrett Brown led off with a walk and advanced to second base following an errant pick off throw. He then moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a passed ball to give DuBois the early lead. Brown also made a highlight reel diving catch in CF in the first inning. A big 2 run double in the 3rd inning from Dan Bowman scored Garrett Brown and Brandon Gettig putting PSUD up 3-0 after 3 innings of play.
In its second game today at the Ripken Complex, PSU dropped another tough game 8-4. It was the second consecutive game that DuBois had the lead late only to squander the game away. PSU got a solid starting effort from freshman Kenny Heverly. Heverly gave up one lone run over 5 innings but DuBois was once again undone by its bullpen and defense.
With the loss Penn St drops to 3-3 on the young season. The Nittany Lions will be back in action tomorrow morning at 9 am.
