Baseball comes down to pitching and today in Myrtle Beach, PSU DuBois found themselves in a classic pitching duel with Danville College. DuBois freshman pitcher Brandon Orsich tossed a solid effort and kept his team in contention, but a few timely hits by Danville dropped the Lions by a score of 3-2.

Orsich went the distance for DuBois and threw his best game of the early season thus far, but in the end found himself on the wrong end of the outcome. DuBois started the game down early 1-0 but rallied in the 2nd inning. DuBois DH Anthony Caruso led off the 2nd frame with a single to center and was chased home on a triple off the bat of Jake Felix. Felix then scored on a single to center from shortstop Caleb Bennett to stake Orsich to a 2-1 lead. Danville rallied for 2 in the 6th to take the lead and that was all the scoring in the game.

With the tough loss, DuBois drops to 5-4 on the season and is back in action tomorrow at noon in the first of two games.
