The Penn State DuBois baseball team took part in the "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" event on Wednesday afternoon. The event was hosted by the Penn State DuBois campus to show support against rape, sexual assault, and gender violence. This is something that the baseball team does every year to show their support for such a worthy awareness event.
Coach Calliari is very proud of his team for helping with causes like this one. Calliari had this to say about these young men:
"I am tremendously proud of the young men who participated in this event in the support to raise awareness of this cause. We have a responsibility to teach these young men that's it's more than a sport and their character and willingness to be the best people they can is off the charts."
This is something that is brought to campus every year by the Student Affairs Department, and each year the baseball team is ready and willing to help. We can't thank the team enough for their dedication to making our campus and community a better place for everyone.
