Penn State DuBois is excited to announce the signing of Kettle Run High School, Virginia Senior softball player, Larissa James-LaBranche. Larissa is a catcher, and a player that PSUD Head Softball Coach Jason Kern has been highly after since the start of her Senior Year.
"Pitching Coach Bo Scott and I watched her in a tournament in Washington DC and we both left that tournament with her name on the top of our list of players that impressed us that weekend. She is such an intelligent young lady and she will be in our Honors Program on campus as a Freshman. She has visited several times and the current players absolutely loved her and are excited that she will be joining the PSUD Softball Family/Program. We went this past season with one actual catcher on the roster, so it was a necessity to get another catcher, and to get one of Larissa's caliber is an added bonus", Kern said.
